Version 1.0 — Initial review draft, not final legal approval. The operator must approve contracting identity, market-specific terms, payment/renewal/refund rules, liability and dispute arrangements before external publication.
Product scope: CTRLZ POS+ combines a Windows offline-first POS with an account, subscription, licensing and release portal. V1 covers one business and one active POS device per subscription. Table/kitchen management, cloud POS sync, general accounting and an online payment gateway are not included.
Accounts: provide accurate details, verify email, protect credentials and explicitly accept the current Terms and acknowledge Privacy at registration. Never share tokens or signing secrets. New published Terms may require portal reacceptance. The accepted version/date/source is retained.
Licensing and connectivity: activation and refresh require server access. A locally verified signed license is valid for at most seven days and never beyond subscription expiry. Revocation reaches a disconnected installation at its next successful eligibility check or signed expiry, not instantaneously. Expired or denied entitlement blocks new operational writes; existing history, reports, exports and backups remain available.
Device replacement: request transfer through the portal and wait for authorised review, then activate the approved replacement installation. A business backup cannot transfer device credentials or installation identity. Do not reset identity to bypass the one-device rule.
Payments and records: portal billing is administrator-recorded evidence, not an online checkout. Local cash/card/bank selections record a payment method and do not authorise a card or move funds. Returns and actual refunds are separate records. Invoices/receipts are local operational documents, not a claim of fiscal certification. Confirm applicable tax/record requirements independently.
Local data and recovery: operational records stay on the device, not on the V1 server. Protect the Windows account/disk and keep tested encrypted backups with passwords stored safely. Lost backup passwords have no recovery backdoor. Restore replaces business records only after explicit confirmation and checks, preserves device identity and requires a valid mutation entitlement. The current archive capacity is approximately 128 MiB; no unlimited backup promise is made.
Printing and updates: validate your actual driver/printer/drawer before use. Print failure does not cancel a sale, and retries may duplicate paper. Published updates are user-selected; the app verifies supported integrity/signature checks before explicit installation intent, never silently installs or deletes data. Hardware, installer/publisher and clean-machine acceptance remain separate validation requirements.
Contact: use Contact or the official CTRLZ-tech website for service enquiries, renewal and product issues. No fixed price, automatic renewal, refund entitlement or response-time guarantee is established by this initial draft.
